Estherville Man Arrested On Forgery Charge

(Estherville)—An investigation by the Emmet County Sheriff’s Office into a complaint of identity theft has resulted in the arrest of an Estherville man.

Sheriff Mike Martens says the investigation resulted in the arrest of 38-year-old Lucas Hernandez was charged with one count of forgery.

Hernandez is accused of using the identity of another person to gain employment at Daybreak Foods in Estherville.

Hernandez was booked into the Emmet county jail on a $9,750 cash or surety bond. He also faces deportation proceedings from Immigrations and Customs Enforcement.
