(Estherville)– An Estherville man is in jail after allegedly shooting a rifle at a relative of his.
Estherville police say they received a call around 3:00 am this (Tues.) morning from a victim stating he had been staying at his relative’s house in Estherville and that the two began to argue. The suspect told the victim to leave and as he was leaving, the suspect shot at him with a rifle.
Upon arriving police made contact with the suspect, identified as 47-year-old Grant Dale of Estherville. A subsequent investigation and search of the residence resulted in Dale being arrested on charges of intimidation with a dangerous weapon, a class “C” felony; going armed with intent…a class “D” felony; and discharging a weapon within city limits, a simple misdemeanor. He was booked into the Emmet county jail.
