(Estherville)– The Estherville City Council Monday awarded a bid for the city’s 2024 street improvements project. The low bid of a little more than $410,000 was submitted by a firm from Mason City and was slightly over the engineer’s estimate. City Administrator Penny Clayton outlines the streets that will be affected…
Clayton says the cost will be covered by Road Use Tax revenue. A public hearing on the matter drew no comments.
The council also awarded a bid of nearly $413,000 to rehabilitate a runway at the Estherville Airport. The majority of the cost will be covered through a federal grant.
The council also Monday gave final adoption to a couple of ordinances. One eliminates a no-parking restriction on North 6th Street from 2:00 am to 8:00 am between November 1st and April 1st. The other makes revisions to minimum requirements for commercial buildings in the city.
