(Estherville)-The Annual Flight Breakfast will be held in Estherville on Monday. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Estherville Area Chamber of Commerce will hold the 73rd Annual Flight Breakfast on the 4th of July.
Executive Director Lexie Ruter says the event features flights for purchase as well as free family activities. “You can get flights through the airport and there is also helicopter rides available for purchase. There will be planes flying in and out all morning long and helicopters that you can watch the whole time. We do have some specialty planes and helicopters coming in and you can meet those pilots and check out their planes. We also have some Black Knights cars. We have cannon coming from The National Guard, we have an antique tractor coming you can check out, and then we have some emergency vehicles and First Responders you can chat with and take a look at their vehicles. We have free face painting for all of the kids and free patriotic temporary tattoos. Of course, we have breakfast. The Northwest Iowa Jazz Band will be playing music. There’ll be plenty of entertainment for everyone and everything is free other than the breakfast itself.”
She notes that the breakfast runs from 7-11 am. “The breakfast is $8 for adults 12 and up, $4 for children 4 through 11 and free for children 3 and under.”
