Estherville Businesses Urged To Apply For Storefront Rennovation Grants

November 22, 2014

(Estherville)– The Existing Business Committee of the Excel! Estherville initiative is urging businesses in that community to participate in a program that provides grants for store-front improvements.

50-thousand dollars is available through the program and will be awarded on a dollar-per-dollar match, with a maximum grant award no to exceed five thousand dollars per application. There is also a limit of one grant per location.

The improvements must meet city specifications and can include new energy-efficient windows and store signs if they are part of a larger facade improvement project.

The program is currently receiving applications. Funds are available through June 30th, 2010, or until they are exhausted. The funds will be disbursed upon completion of the project.

Applications and more information can be on-line at www.estherville.org or at the Chamber of Commerce Office in Estherville.

Grant funds were made possible by Emmet county’s local option sales tax.
