(Emmetsburg)– A traffic stop Monday night at the corner of 25th Street and Broadway Avenue in Emmetsburg resulted in drug charges being filed against an Ayrshire juvenile.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office says a subsequent search of the vehicle turned up what’s alleged to be drug paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana.
The 17-year-old juvenile male was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance…marijuana…a serious misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia…a simple misdemeanor. He was cited into juvenile court and was released to the custody of his parents.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Emmetsburg Police Department.
