Emmetsburg Man Charged In Ruthven Hit-And-Run

(Ruthven)– An Emmetsburg man has been charged in connection with a hit-and-run collision last week in Ruthven.

25-year-old Joseph Hilton of Emmetsburg was charged with leaving the scene of an accident.

The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office says through an investigation, a deputy determined Hilton had been driving a 2003 Chevrolet pickup that collided with a 2000 Chrysler Town and Country van driven by Tiffany Manwarren of Ruthven.

No injuries were reported.

10-thousand dollars in damage was estimated to the vehicle driven by Manwarren; 3,500-dollars in damage was estimated to the pickup driven by Hilton.

The collision took place last Thursday at the intersection of Mitchell and Meyers Streets in Ruthven.
