Emmetsburg Man Arrested On Threat Of Terrorism And Harassment Charges

November 22, 2014

(Emmetsburg)—An Emmetsburg man has been arrested on warrants charging him with threat of terrorism and harassment in the 1st degree.

The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office says the charges against Ronald Ogburn stem from an investigation into a report of an individual making comments and threats to injure other people. Authorities received the report shortly after 8:00 a.m. Tuesday.

Ogburn was later arrested on the warrants. Bond on the threat of terrorism charge, a class “D” felony, was set at $10,000 cash or surety. Bond on the harassment in the 1st degree charge was also set at $10,000.

Ogburn is being held in the Palo Alto county jail pending an initial court appearance.

The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the investigation by the Emmetsburg Police Department and the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation.
