(Emmetsburg)– The Emmetsburg Community School District has a new Superintendent. The school board has announced Cory Jenness has been hired to the position. Jenness is currently elementary principal and curriculum director at the Sibley-Ocheyedan Community School District. He’ll begin his new job this coming July 1st.
Jenness has a master’s degree in elementary administration from the University of South Dakota and a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Morningside University. He also has an educational specialist certificate from the University of Iowa.
Jenness was one of four finalists for the position.
The Emmetsburg school board worked with a consulting firm and held interviews for the position on Tuesday of this week.
