(Emmetsburg)—A special event Saturday (2/16) at the Emmetsburg campus of Iowa Lakes Community College will assist those filling out financial aid paperwork for college.
The workshop will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
T.J. Thayer, Educational Talent Search Coordinator at Iowa Lakes, says experts will be on hand throughout the day to provide assistance.
Thayer says tomorrow’s (Sat.) event is part of a statewide effort of the Iowa Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators.
He says information on financial planning, essays for scholarships, online scholarship tips and on completing the free application for federal student aid will be available. When it comes to the latter, Thayer says walk-in assistance from experts will be available from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in room 330 at the Emmetsburg campus of Iowa Lakes Community College.
