Emmet County Traffic Stop Results In Drug Arrest

(Estherville)– A traffic stop in the early morning of October 19th in Emmet county resulted in a drug arrest.

The Sheriff’s Office says a deputy saw a vehicle pull into a farm drive in the 1800 block of 350th Avenue around 3:00 that morning. Upon investigating the deputy learned the driver of the vehicle didn’t live there and had a suspended driver’s license. A further investigation led to the discovery of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

The driver, 35-year-old Alejandro Garcia, was arrested and was booked into jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance…marijuana…2nd offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license and failure to provide proof of financial liability.
