(Estherville)– Supervisors in Emmet county have voted to place a moratorium on the construction of any new wind turbines in that county. It’s to remain in effect until January 31st, 2025.
Supervisor Chairman Todd Glasnapp says it stems from a request they received from a group of concerned citizens in the county. He says they want to address issues such as setbacks from other structures, mainly houses.
