(Estherville)– Officials in Emmet county say a prescription drug take-back program held this past Saturday in Estherville was a huge success.
Estherville Police Chief Eric Milburn says they collected nearly 50 pounds of outdated, unused and unwanted prescription drugs, which have been sent to the Drug Enforcement Administration for proper disposal.
The collaborative effort by the Estherville Police Department and Avera Holy Family Hospital was part of a national program. Similar events were held in Spirit Lake and Emmetsburg.
