(Estherville)– The Emmet County Sheriff’s Office has released details into a motorcycle crash Sunday evening that claimed the life of an Estherville man.
Authorities say 49-year-old Michael Olson of Estherville was southbound on 495th Avenue south of Dolliver and was approaching a T-intersection with 130th Street. Deputies say the 2010 Harley Davidson Olson was driving left the road and crashed into the south ditch of 130th Street.
Olson was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passerby reported the crash to authorities shortly before 8:30 p.m.
Emmet County Sheriff Mike Martens says it’s still under investigation.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Armstrong Ambulance Service and the Emmet County Medical Examiner.
