Emmet County Collision Results In Minor Injuries

November 22, 2014

(Estherville)– A two-vehicle collision Sunday on Highway 4 two and-a-half miles north of Estherville sent two people to the hospital with minor injuries.

The Emmet County Sheriff’s Office says 19-year-old Cody Linn of Estherville was eastbound on 130th Street when he failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection with Highway 4. Deputies say Linn’s vehicle collided with a northbound vehicle driven by 66-year-old Larry Moore of Dunnell, Minnesota.

Moore and a passenger in his vehicle, Elnora Moore of Dunnell, were both taken to Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville where they were treated for minor injuries.

No injuries were reported to Linn, who was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign.

Damage to a 2000 Pontiac driven by Linn and to a 1999 Ford driven by Moore was estimated at $3,000 each.

The collision took place around 5:44 p.m.

The Emmet County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Estherville Police Department.
