(Estherville)– There will be no raises in 2010 for elected officials in Emmet county.
The board of supervisors this week voted unanimously to deny recommendations from the county’s Compensation Board calling for pay hikes for the County Attorney, Sheriff, Auditor, Recorder, Treasurer and the supervisors themselves.
The Compensation Board was recommending an average increase of roughly 2.54 percent for elected officials.
Supervisors cited the recession and budgetary concerns in making the decision.
