(Spencer)—The Clay County Fair announced today (Tues.) the Eli Young Band will perform in front of the grandstand the opening night of this year’s fair, Saturday, September 7th at 7:30 p.m.
The band has earned two #1 hits on country radio and received an Academy of Country Music Award for the 2011 Song of the Year “Crazy Girl”.
The Eli Young Band has also received two Grammy nominations for Best Country Song and Best Country Duo/Group Performance along with two ACM Award nominations for Vocal Group of the Year and Single Record of the Year; and three Teen Choice Award nods.

Jack Ingram, a 2008 ACM award winner for Best New Male Vocalist, will serve as the opening act.

The Clay County Fair will run September 7th through the 15th.
