(Emmetsburg)– An investigation into illegal drug activity in Lost Island Township of Palo Alto county Wednesday resulted in the arrest of a teen on drug charges.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office says upon investigating, deputies arrested a 17-year-old male juvenile on charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance…a class “D” felony; and possession of drug paraphernalia…a simple misdemeanor.
A large quantity of what’s suspected to be marijuana was seized along with packaging material and a scale.
The juvenile has been turned over to a detention facility where he’s being held pending court hearings.
Authorities say the case remains under investigation.
