(Spirit Lake)– Longtime incumbent David Gottsche has been re-elected to his district 3 seat on the Dickinson county board of supervisors.
Gottsche defeated challenger Jack Rees 933 to 664.
For Dickinson County Recorder, Ann Ditsworth defeated Janelle Treganza. Ditsworth received 5,938 votes to 2,951 for Treganza. The position was left open last summer with the retirement of longtime recorder Jan Bortscheller.
Dickinson county voters also approved a $1.00 per month surcharge for land line telephones, with the revenue to be used to update 911 equipment in the county’s Communications Center. 5,447 were in favor of the measure while 3,474 were opposed.
Gary Taber was elected to fill a vacancy on the Lake Park city council, receiving 235 votes. Two others were seeking the seat: Kay Allen had 214 votes while Herb Stewart had 66.
