(Spencer)– An outing with friends on a dirt bike turned tragic Friday for a Spencer man.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 36-year-old Michael Molacek of Spencer was riding a Yamaha YZF 250 dirtbike with some friends at a site in rural Clay county. Deputies say Molacek was thrown from the dirt bike after a hard landing from a jump.
He was pronounced dead on the scene a short time later by the Clay County Medical Examiners Office.
The incident took place around 4:20 p.m. Friday.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by Webb Fire and Rescue, the Clay County Medical Examiner and Spencer Ambulance.
