Dickinson Supervisors Award Bid To Replace A Heavily Traveled Bridge Heavily Damaged In 2024 Flood

November 13, 2025

(Spirit Lake)– A heavily traveled bridge southwest of Milford is about to get replaced. The bridge on 260th Street over the Little Sioux River was badly damaged in the June, 2024 flood and has been closed to traffic ever since.

The Dickinson County Board of Supervisors Wednesday awarded a bid of a little more than $1 million to Christianson Brothers Construction of Cherokee. They were the lowest of four different companies that submitted bids, which were just a few hundred dollars apart from each other. The awarded bid was pretty much right on target with the engineer’s estimate.

Work on the project could start yet this fall or winter. The latest the work could start is April 1st, 2026.
