Dickinson Supervisors Approve “Operation Green Light” Proclamation

October 04, 2022 Steve Schwaller

(Spirit Lake)– A symbolic event next month will honor and thank veterans for their service. The Dickinson County Board of Supervisors today (Tues.) approved a proclamation for “Operation Green Light”. Spring Terrill of the Dickinson County Veterans Affairs Office says the special event will be held the week of November 7th through the 13th. She says the tower on the veteran’s plaza at the east entrances to the courthouse will be lit in green that week…

“This is a simple way to show honor, appreciation, and thanks to our local veterans for their service to our country, for our freedom. Upon approval from Dickinson county, I will also be reaching out to local entities asking for their encouragement to invite other individuals and businesses to join us by changing one light bulb in the entryway or their business to a green bulb, a simple way to say thank you to our local veterans.”

The supervisors voted unanimously to approve the proclamation.
