(Spirit Lake)– One local agency has been especially hard hit by the government shutdown. Stephanie Henrich, Executive Director of CAASA, the Centers Against Abuse and Sexual Assault, says in addition to other services, they also provide food assistance to victims of those crimes…
Henrich presented her annual report to the Dickinson County Board of Supervisors at their meeting this (Wed.) morning. She says CAASA assisted 26 victims in the past year, adding that the number of cases that haven’t been reported is likely even higher…
Meanwhile, Henrich says obtaining funding is getting to be more and more of a challenge…
Henrich says CAASA also provides assistance to sexual assault victims with rent and utility payments.
