(Spirit Lake)– The Dickinson County Board of Supervisors this week approved the replacement of some automated external defibrillators, or AED’s, in several county-owned facilities, including the courthouse. Supervisor Kim Wermersen represents the board on the county’s Safety Committee, which made the recommendation…
“Some of them are outdated and so it was requested by our safety team as well as our new director of SHIELD which is our safety and health, that we would get new AED’s, four for the courthouse, three at the Nature Center, two for Roads and one for our jail to be up to standards, which we need.”
The 10 new AED’s will cost $9,250, with the funds coming out of the county’s buildings and grounds budget.
The supervisors voted 5-0 to proceed with the purchase.
