(Spirit Lake)– The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says it’s had reports recently of a person impersonating a Dickinson county deputy. He goes on to say that someone you know has a warrant for their arrest and requests you to send money.
The Sheriff’s Office says deputies do not call and request people to send money.
Authorities say you should use extra caution ANYTIME someone requests or demands you to send them money. They add it’s always worth it to take the extra time and verify the information is true.
