(Spirit Lake)– The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office has released details into a single vehicle crash back on July 4th.
Authorities say 70-year-old Timothy Wikert of Pleasant Hill, Iowa was driving a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado westbound on 100th Street and failed to stop at the intersection with 240th Avenue, or County Road M-49. The vehicle went into the west ditch, coming to rest in a field.
Wikert was suspected of receiving minor injuries in the crash.
The pickup sustained an estimated $15,000 in damage.
Wikert was cited for failure to obey a stop sign. The crash took place around 10:30 pm.
