(Spirit Lake)– Some Dickinson county supervisors are concerned over an on-line survey filled out by a number of county employees. The survey is reportedly part of a national contest to determine who has the best work place.
But atleast two supervisors said Tuesday they’re leery of the survey and its intent. Among them are Supervisor Paul Johnson and Board Chairman David Gottsche. They’re concerned over the possibility of what could be sensitive information falling into the wrong hands, adding the county is not familiar with the firm gathering the information. Gottsche says the supervisors should have been made aware of the survey before authorization was given for employees to fill it out.
Assistant County Attorney Lonnie Saunders suggested an email be sent to county employees expressing those concerns and urging those who had not already done so to not fill out the survey. But atleast two department heads indicated it was probably already too late, saying a signficant number of employees had already completed the survey.
