(Spirit Lake)– Health experts are warning the upcoming flu season could be one of the worse we’ve seen in the last several years.
Dickinson County Public Health is once again offering flu shot clinics on Tuesdays from 9:00 am to 11:30 am and from 1:00 pm until 5:30 pm and on Wednesdays from 9:00 am to 11:30 am and from 2:00 pm until 5:30 pm.
Appointments are necessary and may be made by calling 712-339-6050. The cost for a flu shot or the flu mist is $30 if not covered by insurance. The high-dose flu vaccine is $70. Public health officials say the flu mist is an option for the ages two to 49. The high-dose flu shot is recommended for those over age 65.
Dickinson County Public Health is also still offering COVID-19 boosters and pneumonia vaccine as well. They say it’s possible to get other vaccinations at the same time as the flu vaccine.
