(Milford)– In addition to awarding $123,751 to 18 nonprofit applicants in 2023, the Dickinson County Endowment Fund is also awarding four “Special Project Grants” to schools. The fund’s advisory board contacted each school district in Dickinson county regarding projects that would have direct student impact. The schools then submitted their ideas to be considered for funding.
The Okoboji Community School District was awarded $2,500 to help enhance art education at the Elementary, Middle School and High School levels. The project will introduce students to digital art tools and software to create digital artwork and explore graphic design.
