(Okoboji)– The Dickinson County Conservation Board Wednesday evening reviewed plans for the proposed park at the former Inn golf course in Okoboji, to be known as “Sherwood Forest”. It was the first time board members have seen the plans, which were initially unveiled at Tuesday’s Okoboji City Council meeting where neighbors voiced concerns over parking, safety, traffic and the general lay out. Some of those neighbors reiterated the concerns at Wednesday’s Conservation Board meeting. One of the main contentions is over plans to extend a city street, Park View Avenue, through the park. Members of the conservation board said they would consider those concerns as plans continue to move forward. The board plans to hold a special meeting this coming Tuesday, July 19th, at which time they’ll visit the site.
