Dickinson Co. Auditor’s Office Clearing Up Confusion Over Polling Site Location

June 03, 2022 Steve Schwaller

(Spirit Lake)– Election officials in Dickinson county are clearing up some confusion over a polling site location for this coming Tuesday’s primary election. Jordan Moyer of the Dickinson County Auditor’s Office tells KUOO news it stems from an error that was made in a post card some voters in the Lake Park area recently got in the mail…

“Precinct one, which is located in Lake Park city and areas around Lake Park, they did get a card from the Secretary of State’s Office that was listed as Lake Park as their first polling place, and we were made aware that a yellow card was sent out that says that they vote in Spirit Lake, but that is incorrect. They do still vote in Lake Park.”

Moyer says there’s an easy way to find your voting location for the primary election this coming Tuesday, June 7th

“They can go on to our website under the elections tab and there is a find my polling place precinct button that they can click on and it will show them which precinct they go to.”

Moyer also reminds everyone that Monday (June 6th) is the final day for early voting, which can be done at the Dickinson County Auditor’s Office during normal hours.
