(Spencer)– A Dickens man was arrested on multiple charges following an incident over the weekend.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy was attempting to arrest a man Saturday evening on a warrant in Dickens. Authorities say 48-year-old Michael Daniels was wanted for interference with official acts, theft in the 1st degree and driving while barred. They say Daniels took off on foot as the deputy was attempting to serve the warrant, resulting in a foot pursuit. He was taken into custody a short time later.
Upon further investigation it was discovered Daniels had allegedly stolen a vehicle from Story county, Iowa, earlier the same day. That vehicle was located a short distance from where Daniels was apprehended. He was booked into the Clay county jail.
