Design Process For H-LP Construction Project About To Kick Into High Gear

(Lake Park)– Planning and designing for a new elementary school to be constructed adjacent to the middle school-high school in Lake Park is about to kick into high gear. Harris-Lake Park Superintendent Gary Richardson says I’s are being dotted and T’s are being crossed with FEH, the architectural firm that will be overseeing that process…

“Right now we’re at the design process and the contract part where we’re agreeing on a contract, and what the schedule that the architect will be following here between now and the time bid packets are put out.”

He says the next step will be to gather input on a design for the new building…

“We’ll have teachers, our maintenance folks, our I-T people, a community group and the board and administration. We’ll sit with them and listen to what their conceptual designs are and their thoughts and then we’ll add ours and they’ll take that and put that into the bid packets.”

Following that, the project will go out for bid.
