(Arnolds Park)– Demolition of the old Arnolds Park City Hall got underway this (Monday) morning.
Crews are making way for a new city complex that will consist of city offices, council chambers, library, police department and fire station.
The project is expected to take about 14 months to complete, depending upon the weather.
The city council has authorized the issuance of not to exceed $15 million in revenue bonds to fund the project, with the hopes of the final cost coming in well below that figure.
The new city complex will be constructed on the existing city hall site as well as some lots immediately to the east that the city purchased a couple of years ago.
