(Lake Park)– A single vehicle crash Saturday night south of Lake Park claimed the life of one person and sent another to the hospital.
The Iowa State Patrol says 18-year-old Tegan Vos of Sheldon was driving a 2019 Kia northbound on 130th Avenue. Troopers say the vehicle left the road and rolled after Vos failed to negotiate a curve.
Vos was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare. A passenger, 19-year-old Edith Lupercio-Lopez of Sheldon, died in the crash, which took place a little after 10:00 pm.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office and Lake Park Fire Department assisted on the scene.
