(Heron Lake, Mn.)– A three-vehicle collision Monday on Highway 60 about two miles east of Heron Lake sent one person to the hospital.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 43-year-old Mark Glander of Spencer was driving a 2008 Freightliner semi eastbound when he struck a large drift in the road and lost control. The semi went into the median and jackknifed, blocking the eastbound lanes.
A second vehicle, a 2008 Saturn driven by 63-year-old Timothy Schryver of Bloomington, Minnesota came upon the scene and collided with the semi.
Troopers say a third vehicle, a 2000 Pontiac Montana driven by 46-year-old Maura Delgado of Worthington couldn’t stop in time and rear-ended the vehicle driven by Schryver.
Schryver was taken to the Windom hospital where he was treated for a minor injury. No other injuries were reported.
Severe damage was reported to the vehicles driven by Schryver and Delgado; minor damage was reported to the semi.
The collision took place shortly after 12:30 p.m.
The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted on the scene by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
