Crash Near Fairmont Injures One Person

November 22, 2014

(Fairmont, Mn.)– A two-vehicle collision Sunday on Interstate 90 near Fairmont, Minnesota injured one person.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 22-year-old William Conley of Albert Lea, Minnesota was westbound in the right lane. Troopers say he was making a lane change when he collided with a vehicle driven by 58-year-old Philip Vanerlaan of Grand Haven, Michigan. Authorities say the impact caused the vehicle Conley was driving to roll.

Conley was taken by ambulance to Fairmont Hospital and was airlifted to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.

A 1999 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Conley was totaled; moderate damage was reported to a 2001 Mack truck driven by Vanderlaan.

Both vehicles were westbound at the time of the crash.

The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted on the scene by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.
