(Spencer)– A Dickens man was injured Friday in a crash involving a semi in Clay county.
The Sheriff’s Office says Stanley Hansen was driving a 2007 8600 International northbound on 240th Avenue when he failed to negotiate a curve. The semi went off the road and turned over in a ditch.
Hansen was extricated from the semi by mechanical means and was transported to Spencer Hospital.
The semi was totaled. The crash took place a little after 3:30 pm.
Spencer police, the Spencer Hospital ambulance, the Iowa State Patrol, Dickens and Fostoria Fire Departments and two towing services assisted on the scene.
