(Emmetsburg)– A two-vehicle collision shortly before 11:00 a.m. Thursday on Highway 18 in Palo Alto county sent one person to the hospital.
The Iowa State Patrol says vehicles driven by Richard Figley of Akron and Michael Braswell of Kansas City were westbound in blizzard conditions when they met an eastbound semi that partially in their lane. Fegley slowed down and Braswell collided with the rear of Fegley’s vehicle.
Fegley was taken to Palo Alto County Hospital in Emmetsburg with non-incapacitating injuries; no other injuries were reported.
A thousand dollars in damage was reported to both vehicles.
Authorities say the semi didn’t stop.
