(Spencer)– The Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation received some special recognition at the 2009 Mid-America Competitiveness Conference December 6th through the 8th in Chicago. The event is put on annually by the Mid-America Economic Development Council.
Award entries were accepted in two markets per category–large market with an annual marketing budget over 100-thousand dollars and small market with an annual marketing budget under 100-thousand dollars.
The Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation tied for second place with the Lake Superior Community Partnership for its annual report publication among small markets.
The Iowa Lakes Corridor also placed second in the small market division for Business Retention and Expansion; and the Corridor tied for third in the small market divsion for best newsletter.
