(Spencer)– The Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation is one of eight economic development organizations in the state involved in the “Dream Big Grow Here” contest that runs through August.
Entrepreneurs are urged to submit their business dreams in the virtual contest by going to www.dreambiggrowhere.com. Submissions may be made in the form of video, text, pictures or a combination of them. The submissions should explain the business and why the contestant deserves to win. August 31st is the submission deadline. The winner will receive $5,000.
The eight regional winners will advance to compete at the state level for an additional $10,000.
Rules say the business must be small with between zero and 30 employees. Persons competing must reside in Buena Vista, Clay, Dickinson or Emmet county, or their business or prospective business must be located in one of those counties.
