(Emmetsburg)– This year marks the 50th anniversary for the Construction Technology program at the Emmetsburg campus of Iowa Lakes Community College. What was then the Carpentry Program, got it’s start in 1973. Since then, more than 700 students have graduated from it.
Corey Menning, Construction Technology Program Coordinator, says they’ve adjusted to the new technology over the years with modern equipment and computers, resulting in better working conditions, reduced construction costs and expedited timelines for completing projects.
Officials commemorated the milestone this (Fri.) morning with a coffee and open house.
