Complaint Results In Multiple Arrests

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– A complaint of a possible underage party last Sunday at a residence just west of Fostoria resulted in charges against 11 people.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says it stems from a tip that was received through the Crime Stoppers “Text A Tip” program.

It resulted in authorities obtaining and executing a search warrant on a residence at 1740 280th Street in Clay county. The search turned up what’s alleged to be drug paraphernalia, marijuana and numerous alcoholic beverage containers.

11 people were taken into custody and transported to the Clay county jail.

19-year-old Emma Whittenburg of Everly was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and underage possession of alcohol and 21-year-old Adam DeLoss of Spencer was charged with supplying alcohol to minors.

Nine others were arrested for underage alcohol possession.

Authorities say the investigation is ongoing and that more arrests are expected.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Spencer Police Department.
