(Spencer)– A major announcement from the Clay County Fair.
Fair officials announced this (Tues.) morning comedian Jeff Foxworthy will make an appearance in front of the grandstand at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, September 16th, the closing night of this year’s fair.
A multiple Grammy Award nominee and best-selling author of more than 26 books, Foxworthy is one of the most respected and successful comedians in the country. He was the host of the television hit show “Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader” and was the executive producer and starred in “Foxworthy’s Big Night Out”.
Foxworthy also starred in and produced the television series “Blue Collar Comedy TV” which he created for the WB Network. “Blue Collar TV” was created from the success of “Blue Collar Comedy Tour: The Movie” and the concert tour of the same name. The movie premiered on Comedy Central and was the highest rated movie in the channel’s history. To date, it’s sold more than four million units.
Ticket information for Foxworthy’s appearance at the Clay County Fair will be available this spring. Fair officials will also announce the opening act for Foxworthy at that time.
The 2012 Clay County Fair will be held September 8th through the 16th.
