(Spencer)– One person was seriously injured in a two-vehicle collision this (Wed.) morning at the intersection of 300th Street and 230th Avenue just southeast of Fostoria.
The Iowa State Patrol says 43-year-old Timothy Curry of Everly was driving a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze northbound on 230th Avenue and 32-year-old Benjamin Thompson of Spencer was driving a 2015 Dodge Ram eastbound on 300th Street. An accident report says Curry failed to yield at the intersection and the two collided.
Curry was transported by helicopter to Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Fostoria and Spencer Fire Departments and Spencer Hospital Ambulance assisted on the scene.
The collision took place around 8:45 this (Wed.) morning.
