January 08, 2024 Steve Schwaller

(Sheldon)– Possible injuries were reported in a rear-end collision Sunday on Highway 18 in O’Brien county that involved a driver reading a text message on their phone.

The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office says 30-year-old Allyson Moser of Sanborn was driving a 2008 Ford Taurus and was looking at her phone when she collided with the rear of a 2024 Chevrolet driven by 29-year-old Andrew Sterk of Sheldon.

Moser was taken by ambulance to the Sheldon hospital. She was cited for use of an electronic communication device while driving.

The collision took place a little after 5:30 pm.
