(Windom)– A collision Saturday on Highway 71 three miles north of Windom sent one person to the hospital.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 76-year-old Jack Schaffer of Windom was driving a 1998 Buick and 26-year-old Kevin Carr of Moorhead, Minnesota was driving a 2020 Ford Fusion. Troopers say both vehicles were northbound when they collided. The impact forced the vehicle driven by Carr into a southbound 2020 Kenworth semi driven by 53-year-old Donald Jahr of Jamestown, Tennessee.
Schaffer was taken to the Windom hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.
The Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office, Windom Police, Windom Fire Department and the Windom ambulance assisted on the scene.
