(Hull)– Multiple injuries were reported in a two-vehicle collision Wednesday at the intersection of Highway 18 and a city street in Hull.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says 45-year-old David Jacobs of Rock Valley was driving a 1992 Freightliner semi eastbound on Highway 18 and 17-year-old Micah Albert of Sioux Center was driving a 1993 Chevrolet southbound on the city street. Authorities say Albert entered the intersection and pulled into the path of the semi.
Albert and 17-year-old Thomas Schuck of Little Rock were taken by ambulance to the Rock Valley Hospital; 18-year-old Frederick Hinojosa of George and 15-year-old Marluzby Dominquez of Hull were taken to the Sioux Center Hospital. Dominquez was later air lifted to Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Officials say none of the injuries were life-threatening.
$5,000 in damage was estimated to the semi; the car sustained an estimated $2,000 damage.
The collision took place shortly before 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Albert was cited for failure to obey a stop sign.
