(Milford)– A two-vehicle collision early this (Wed.) afternoon at the intersection of Highway 71 and 202nd Street on the north edge of Milford sent one person to the hospital.
The Milford Police Department says 82-year-old Paul Abrahamson of Spencer was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado southbound when he allegedly ran the stoplight and collided with a 2015 Subaru Outback driven by Darlene Powers. Powers was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare with minor injuries.
Abrahamson declined treatment on the scene. He was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.
Police say the collision took place shortly before 1:00 pm and that it remains under investigation.
Milford police were assisted by the Arnolds Park and Okoboji Police Departments, Milford Fire Department, the Iowa State Patrol, Lakes Regional Ambulance and Boji Towing.
