(Fairmont, Mn.)– A two-vehicle collision Monday on Interstate 90 in Martin county sent two people to the hospital.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 75-year-old Harlan Boer of Sioux Center was driving a 2006 Peterbilt semi and 50-year-old Joanna Sandberg of Welcome was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe. Troopers say both were eastbound and that Sandberg was attempting to pass Boer when the semi Boer was driving veered to the left, striking the rear of the Tahoe Sandberg was driving. Both vehicles went into the median, with the Tahoe rolling before coming to rest.
Both Boer and Sandberg were taken to the Fairmont hospital where they were treated and released.
Moderate damage was reported to both the semi and the Tahoe.
The collision took place shortly before 6:30 a.m.
The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.
